A.1. Course Description:

Students upon completion of the course will be able to use major software applications employed as tools in business problem-solving.  The following operating system, application software and topics will be covered:

A.2. Intended Audience:     Students interested in introductory course to computers

A.3. Course Objectives:

To provide the student with basic knowledge of computer application and ability to employ in an office environment including: word processing, spreadsheets/worksheets, relational database management, application programming, business presentation graphics, Internet web design, and information management.

C. Mode of Instruction:

Class time will have lecture as well as lab when there will be demonstrations on how to use various programs and environments.

D. Student Responsibilities:

  1. Each student will be expected to complete a series of lab assignments using each major application.
  2. There will be a test, midterm and final exam.
  3. Students must plan to spend a minimum of two (2) hours per week outside of the class working with computer.

Four or more absences may lead to failure                                                     
All work submitted for grading must be the student's own.
Student is responsible to obtain missing works
Each assignment is due one week (2 classes) later.                                          
The assignment will not be accepted after it has been solved.                        
Each week a late assignment will be divided by 2.
