A.1. Course Description:

This course will cover the basics of Web System, and the development of electronic commerce distributed over many computers connected by means of the Internet. This course is designed to provide hands on experiences to the students on the current web technologies. This course will also introduce contemporary notions of e-commerce and evaluate existing business strategies, which are using for accomplishing success in e-commerce businesses.

A.2. Intended Audience:    MIS and CS majors

A.3. Course Objectives:

The objective of this course is for students to understand different Web technologies and systems. Students will be familiar with diverse web-programming languages such as HTML, JAVASCRIPT, C++, CGI as well as Apache and IIS server technologies. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to design web-based business applications using marketing and commercial principles.

The class consists of both lecture and lab. During the lab, there will be demonstrations using Internet and web technologies.

D. Student Responsibilities:

  1. Each student will be expected to complete web project
  2. There will be a test, midterm and final exam.
  3. Students must plan to spend a minimum of two (2) hours per week outside of the class working with computer.

1)      Explanation Presentation of your project  : 20 point

 

-         This project is about the eCommerce part so you have to sale something

-         Make your website professional.

-         Selling :: cars, music instruments , books(3) , coconuts of different countries ,  cell phones ,  safety Escort service , Different kind of games , promote eCommerce business , Pictures ,sneakers etc .

2)      Web Presentation Part:: 20 point .

-         Map your ideas in your web design

 

3)      HTML source code and JAVASCRIPT  :: 20 point .

-         ( identify the 10 commandments  including self references , href , image , input , search )

4)      Server part :   20 point .

-         Interface of the server side .

-         simple search engine .

-         Membership login.

5)      server side  to build a database for your web :

-         manipulate by Administrator. Be able to modify, be able to add, and delete. Be careful the user are not able to change the prices .
