Thursday 1st 2007
1) The importance of the quiz was to gauge how much you know about MIS topics. The quiz should have given you an idea of what to expect in this class.
2) Work on your tutorial using the 7 C's as the criteria for design. The 7 C's are very unique however they wer e revised last night by Dr. Ebrahimi to the 7 X 2 C's
1. Content X Context
Content- The volume of information on your website.
Context- The material on your site is meaningful and appropriate to your site.
2. Correctness X Credibility
Correctness- Information should be correct.
Credibility- Information should be verified and backed up by data, references and other materials.
3. Currency X Continuity
Currency- Information should be relevant to the present.
Continuity- Information should have a vision and continue into the future.
4. Completeness X Coverage
Completeness- Information should be complete.
Coverage- Information should have enough volume.
5. Consistency X Conciseness
Consistency- Site deign should match and be recognizeable throughout the site.
Conciseness- Information should be relevant and to the point.
6. Compelling X Compliment
Compelling- Site deign should be artistic and pleasing.
Compliment- Site design should enforce and enhance the topic matter of the site.
7. Community X Care
Community- Site should be designed and cater to your audience.
Care- Site design should be mindful of your intended audience.
Interchangeable C's should you not like some of the one's we used above.
Color, Clarity, Code, Customization, Commitment, Communication, Cash, Cost, Construction, Collaboration, Character. Chakra.
We have seven C's because it parallels an ancient story of seven difficulties that had to be passed by heroes before they could accomplish their task.
3) Research- Work on the content of your Tutorial. Use Dr. Ebrahimi's text as the basis for your content.
4) Come to the Monday, March 5th 2007 Computer Club Meeting.
