Programmers write a program
Non-programmers use Excel or other Spreadsheet

1. Find a SUM
2. Find an AVERAGE (mean)-not very accurate - in class most people do well,
2 people get a zero - not a good indicator of ability
3. Find MEDIAN - middle number - half of class have above median, half of
class have below
4. Find MODE - highest repetition - Frequency - how many times something
happens
5. Find STANDARD DEVIATION - For analysis - average of closeness?

For next class - explain in simple language what a Standard Deviation
actually is

Q. Why does a rabbit run faster than a dog?
A. Rabbits run for themselves - a dog runs for someone else
