Scenario of an ATM
Machine http://www.drprojectservices.com/images/Triton
RT5000 TTW - Straight-200.jpg I went to the bank yesterday. I put my card inside the ATM. A message box appeared onto the screen and asked me the enter the pin number. After that I put in my pin number and an input routine (statement) took my input and placed it into a variable (pin variable). An if statement matched the pin number and compared it to existing pin number (file of pin number). If the result became true a series of message box display the options, such as withdraw, balance, transfer or deposit. Through the input routine I select input Withdrawal. A message box displayed a series of withdrawal options. (Fast cash 40, 60, 100, 200, other). I choose other and then it asked me to enter the amount. An input routine took my amount. I entered 500. An if statement took my input and compared it to the limit and found true. A message box came and said, you cannot withdraw. I went through the while statement to realize that I passed the limit of the bank. I finally realized that i have to put 400 and this time it took my amount and compared it with my balance and an if statement tells me that its ok. I got my money and my current balance. balance = balance - withdrawal. |
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THAT STATEMENT INSIDE THE
PROGRAM
balance = balance - withdrawal was
balance = balance + withdrawal?
| PROGRAM ON PAGE 66 If you are working in the Bronx zoo. If someone asks you if you saw an elephant or if somebody asks you what is programming? A program is a bunch of words at the beginning. Some of them are pre defined and some are not. |
