Business and Computers, C++ Programming Easy Ways

August 31, 2006

Today in Business and Computers we the students learned a number of things regarding the course, other students in the class as well as the teacher himself.

In the beginning of class Professor Ebrahim has told us what he expects as far as class goes. He also gave us a little bit of information about his background. For example how many languages he spoke. This course is designed to teach us about computers and how they operate. According to the professor we the students will learn how to program the computers and learn more about them. Other then that the professor is very interesting and sets himself apart from other teachers by giving us points for answering questions correctly or remembering anything he had previously said. At the end of the semester the participation that we did during class will pa off and we will get an A in participation if we get 100 points.

In the middle of class things began to speed up and the students learned each others names and gained a couple of points. One thing I learned during class was, “Relaxation is an important element of learning”, meaning that he doesn’t want his students to be up tight and stiff.

From the first day of class it seems as if we are going to have a good and productive semester. The professor seems to be very interesting and intelligent. I have a feeling that I am going to learn a lot this semester from his course.

Thursday August 31st Professor A. Ebrahimi’s class was based on helping his students understand the significance of programming and the different ways that we are programmed in contrast to the way computers/machines are programmed. He also stressed that computers have specific languages that we have to learn in order to be a successful programmer. He asked everyone to write their names and e-mail addresses on his book and a discussion of his book was followed.
