Compiled by Kimberly Barnaby

* We talked about the importance of programming & database in e-commerce. Phases 4 & 5 of the project deal with this (interface, validity of data, etc)

* Please look at page 700 in book 2 the first program on the top to learn how to make an interface; to make a database table, look at the code on page 701. (This material will be on the final exam! you must be able to tell where this is in the book)

* On page 757 & 758 in book 2, this will be on the final.

* The problem with  uplink is that instead of 3-digits you have a request for 4-digits.

* Most systems either have errors or aren't friendly.

* As a reminder, phase 4 is to incorporate a search and interface in your project, and phase 5 is to include a database for a total of 40pts.

* Again, make sure that your domain name is short and relevant to the business.

* Why should we not use underscore in the domain name?

Because you cannot see it. They put a line under your domain name and that would not allow you to see the underscore.

* How to copyright an idea: print out your idea, put it in an envelope and mail it yourself but do NOT open it. If someone says they had the same idea, bring it to a judge and let the judge open it.
